Published in NewYork in 1976 by Ballantine Books, it has 30 pages outlining the life of the artist and then 46 glorious colour plates.
The cover is a little bit worn, nothing too serious, with the corners ever so slightly bent. The plates are all in excellent conditon.

As explained in the intro, this book was published posthumously after President Kennedy's assassination.

Book is in excellent condition. Spine is slightly faded and there is a dedication written in ink inside first blank page. A nice piece of Kennedy memorabilia !

This book is virtually a textbook for the bride-to-be in the late 30's. It begins with chapters on preparing for the wedding - getting the dress etc - right through to picking your home, decorating it,dressmaking, cooking , motherhood...... you name it, its here !

Interestingly, there is no mention of 'honeymoon' or any mention of sex - even in the chaper of motherhood - cooking and etiquette were considered the prime values of a new bride in those days !!

There are lots of diagrams and photos and loads of terrific advertisements of the day.
The book is in overall good condition - the contents are perfect - the edges of the hardback cover are just slightly worn.

This is really a lovely collectable item of a bygone era already !

The hardbook book, approx 10 x 7 1/2 ins., is in overall good condition.

It is a revealing insight into what the teenager of the late 40's was supposed to be capable of doing at that time. There are chapters on 'The Graces' (!) - 'Are you clever with flowers ?' - and Problems, Sport and Clothes, among many others.

There are lots of diagrams, photos and wonderful advertisements of the day !

The book, which is in overall very good condition except for a few of the pages have slightly frayed edges, probably dates from early 20th century (there is a prize sticker in the front from Morrison's Academy Crieff dated 1910/11).

There are 8 beautiful colour reproductions included in the 80 pages of comment on Reynolds.
